John Cheney was a great guy! He was like a father to me, for years as I grew up on at 68 William St next door to John & Pat,the kids, tammy and joe! He and I went places, did things together,he was wonderful guy! the kids were too small back then to go anywhere or do anything,so John and I did.
fishing, raising fish and birds, going to NYC and NJ,and going to my first Drive-In movie! I will never forget that! Pat was a real good looking woman and a great mother, and john liked playing guitar with George in the backyard. I got John into the fire dept, since it just opened down on William st.
I will never forget John and all the things we did together, I did talk to him before he passed away, and he was delighted to hear from me,and the same here.
That was a Real Man,and a real father to me!I don’t know how he was to the kids, all I know is he really loved Pat and the Kids!
cya! todd,the kid next door!
