Commercial Kitchen Manager – Part-time

The Commercial Kitchen Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the 850 square-foot commercial kitchen at the Broadway Market. The Manager ensures that the commercial kitchen meets the mission of assisting food entrepreneurs in launching and managing successful businesses by providing (1) a fully licensed and equipped commercial kitchen they can use for the development and on-going preparation of their food products; and (2) referral for technical assistance to improve their business operation plan, market penetration, profit and sustainability.

Required Work experience, skills, and education

Bachelor of Science /or Arts Degree in restaurant management, culinary arts, or hospitality preferred or Associates Degree in restaurant management, culinary arts, or hospitality with two years management experience in a kitchen or restaurant or High School Diploma or Equivalent with four years kitchen or restaurant management experience.

Specific skills – Basic computer literacy, MS word, Excel and scheduling software. Working knowledge of social media, marketing experience or related class work recommended.
Personal characteristics – strong communication skills, sensitivity to a diverse client base.
Certifications – Servsafe certification required prior to hiring.

Physical abilities –Able to lift 25 Ibs. or more.
