Broadway Market update in midst of Coronavirus outbreak
I wanted to update you on the Broadway Market’s status in the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak in the WNY region. The Market is an essential business and accordingly is still open. We are operating on the market’s regular schedule: Open Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm and closed on Sundays. Save A Lot is open Monday – Sunday, 8am – 7pm. You are allowed inside the market to shop.
Please note that you are required to wear a mask or face-covering to enter the Market per the NY State Dept. of Health.
To facilitate social distancing, we are limiting the number of people who can access the building at any one time. At this time, we are only permitting access through the Broadway Market’s main doors on Broadway, the rear doors exiting the parking garage and the rear side Lombard Street and Gibson Street doors. (If there is a line, please wait patiently at those doors until the security guard admits you.)
The 2nd and 3rd floors of the market’s parking garage are closed. There is parking on the 1st floor of the parking garage, the Save A Lot parking garage on Gibson St. and on city streets.
The Market’s fresh food merchants (meat, produce, seafood, nuts/popcorn, baked goods, dry/shelf stable goods) are all stocked. Please check the markets website www.broadwaymarket.org, for vendor hours, contact information and on-line ordering if applicable.
We continue to add ways to make the Market accessible during this challenging period:
• While we have had to pull seating for the public, our prepared food merchants (Babcia Pierogi, East/West Café, Margie’s Soul Food, Potts Deli) are also open for take- out and delivery.
We are committed to maintaining food access through this period and simultaneously keep our customers as safe as possible. We have instituted a number of precautionary measures and have doubled down on those as the crisis deepens.
