The authors of “Rose Petal Jam, Recipes and Stories from a Summer in Poland”, Beata Zatorska and Simon Target, kicked off their U.S. tour in Buffalo on May 11, 2013.
A book-signing and lecture took place in the Broadway Market. The event was organized by Jim Lawicki of the Polish American Congress-WNY Division, the 125th Anniversary Celebration Committee of the Broadway Market, the Broadway Market, and Enchanted Market Gifts.

The Broadway Market’s Mother’s Day Event on Saturday May 11 will feature Beata Zatorska, author of the multi-award winning memoir/cookbook Rose Petal Jam as the 2nd Saturday of the Month guest speaker. Rose Petal Jam is a collection of recipes and stories from Ms. Zatorska’s summer in Poland.
The lecture series is held at 12 noon in the Community Room at the market. A pre-lecture breakfast, $40.00/person, will be held with the author. Reservations are required for the breakfast which includes a light breakfast, a signed copy of Rose Petal Jam and a 125th Anniversary Mug & Rose. Hanging baskets, organic soaps, wines, hair and make-up demonstrations and additional specialty vendors will also be on hand for you to purchase that perfect gift for mom.
